Lidiya's Journey Toward Her Dream
Lidiya, a sophomore at the University of Southern California (USC), is majoring in communications and sports media. On Friday, October 13th, she had a remarkable experience shadowing Ariana Tejero, a Senior Producer at Spectrum Community Television. During her visit to the station, Lidiya had the privilege of observing various departments and staff during their workday. It was an invaluable experience that allowed her to gain insight into the world of sports journalism that she is so passionate about.
But that's not all! Lidiya also had the extraordinary opportunity to meet and connect with NBA all-stars James Worthy and Metta World Peace. These encounters left a lasting impression and provided her with inspiration for her journey ahead.
Lidiya's connection with Ariana Tejero began last year at our end-of-year event. The event, themed "Your Network is Your Net Worth," brought together the inaugural cohort of TCI girls, providing them with a platform to meet and network with business and community leaders in Los Angeles. Lidiya maintained this connection with Ariana, and her dedication and enthusiasm led to this fantastic opportunity to shadow her for a full day, from 9 AM to 6 PM.
